Privacy Policy

This website (minhtq.dev) is the personal portfolio of Minh Tran, based in Long Bien, Hanoi, Vietnam. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” refer to the site owner, and “you” refers to anyone visiting the site.

The site has no accounts, sign-up or contact forms. I collect the following:

• Usage data: pages you view, how far you scroll, and actions such as opening or downloading the CV, clicking a project or a social link, and copying contact details.
• Device data: browser and version, operating system, device type, screen and window size, language and time zone.
• Approximate location: your IP address is looked up through the ipwho.is service to estimate your country, region and city, which are attached to analytics events. Your IP address itself is not included in analytics events.
• What you send me: if you email, message or call me, I receive whatever you choose to include, such as your name, email address and message.

I use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) that assign your browser a random identifier, and sends the data above to Google. You can read how Google uses this data at policies.google.com.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site keeps working without cookies.

• To see which projects, research and pages are useful, and improve the site.
• To keep the site secure and working on different devices and browsers.
• To reply when you contact me.

Loading the site connects your browser to these providers, which receive your IP address:

• Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager (analytics)
• ipwho.is (approximate location lookup)
• cdnfonts.com (the General Sans web font)
• jsDelivr (a script loaded from cdn.jsdelivr.net)
• The hosting provider that serves the site, which may keep standard server logs

I do not sell or rent your information, and I do not use it for advertising.

Analytics data is kept according to the retention period set in Google Analytics (no longer than 14 months). Messages you send me are kept for as long as needed to reply and follow up, then deleted on request.

You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to its use, including under the GDPR if you are in the EU/EEA and under Vietnam's personal data protection laws. Email me at minhtq.dev.work@gmail.com and I will reply within 30 days.

The site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their information.

Project, certificate and social links lead to sites I do not control. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave this site.

I may update this policy as the site changes. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest version. See also the Terms & Conditions.
